The Care Ministry team serves to nurture the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of all people. By sharing the love of Christ through prayer, social activities, and outreach in time of need, we hope to help others realize the blessing that comes from being a follower of Jesus. The Asbury Child and Family Counseling Center

A center that has developed programs to meet the needs of people from the church and the community. The Center offers counseling for children (in a child-friendly environment), teens, families, marriages, and individual adults. Click here for their website.

Care Giving Services

Services for those who are no longer able to fellowship at church on a regular basis. This team visits, makes phone calls and provides other care as needed.

Cards and Letters Ministry

Keeps in touch with those during times of crisis, distress and celebration.

Deaf Ministry

A ministry that provides sign interpretation at the 8:45am Contemporary Service.

Food for Funerals

A team of people that provide a meal for families who request assistance at the time of a funeral.

Funeral Ministry

A ministry that helps grieving families before and during the church service.
Asbury can provide pastoral support and a lay coordinator to assist the family with the following:

  • Type of service
  • Hospitality Area Visitation
  • Sanctuary set up for the service
  • Foyer set up to display photos, etc.
  • Guest registration book
  • Program (family works with the designated pastor)
  • Food the day of the funeral for out of town guests

Grief Share

Would you like others to come along side you as you walk through the difficult journey of grief? Classes are offered starting in August and in January for 13 weeks by a Lay Program Facilitator. You can join any week while classes are being offered. For more information, click here.

Hospital Visitation Team

Assists Asbury ministers with visitations of members who are locally hospitalized and/or at home recovering.

Job Seeking & Career Transition

Provides guidance and support for persons affected by job loss or contemplating a career transition through education and spiritual growth.

Military Bulletin Board

We recognize deployed and active service men/women on a bulletin board between the Faith and Hope Buildings and send cards to those who are deployed Please contact us if you know of any friends or family who are not currently on our board.

Nurturing Meals for the Healing

A team provides food for families, primarily church members, when they are unable to cook for themselves.

Stephen Ministry

A ministry in our congregation in which trained and supervised lay persons, called Stephen Ministers, provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties. Click here for more information.

Transportation Ministry

A ministry that provides transportation to those unable to drive to church activities or medical appointments.

Leisure and Fellowship

Christian Yoga

Combines becoming physically healthy and spiritually healthy. We become more spiritually healthy through the yoga practice by calming our minds and quieting ourselves to the point that we tune into God's frequency.

Knitting and Crocheting Ministry

A Ministry that makes and provides items out of various types of yarn to fill the needs of one or more Asbury Mission Partners or church members with special needs.

Prime-Timers

A ministry for adults ages 50+.

Sew & Tell Ministry

This ministry is a group committed to serving others through various sewing projects for the missions and specific ministry needs including lap robes ,quilts, muslin tote bags, etc.

Sports Ministry

Gives Asbury family members an opportunity to participate in athletics and get to know each other better. Men's and Women's Basketball and a Men's Softball team.
